Lil Wayne Performs yet to drop “Old Town Road” Remix at Lollapalooza
New Lil Nas X’s unstoppable hit “Old Town Road,” which now has the longest running No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 ever, gets its fair share of remixes. Already there’s four official remixes of the track, lately with RM of BTS’ “Seoul Town Road” version, with also a bunch of yet to drop remixes that might never see the light of day. There were reports that Lil Wayne recorded a remix of the song, and now he’s drops the sounds with his performance at Lollapalooza.
Weezy earlier express doubts if the remix was ever going to be released officially, but that didn’t prevent him from performing it. His remix surfaced online recently, but Lil Nas X promised fans that the RM remix was the “last one.” given the song keeps smashing records, we doubt that will actually the case.
Although his contribution to the song was very short, he surly brings his distinctive style to it. “They sent it to me and I did it as an official remix,” Lil Wayne explained last month to XXL. “I’m not sure if they was gonna use it.”
More official remixes of “Old Town Road” should come in the future, but Lil Nas X plays around with the idea of a “Panini” remix
